With a little bit of luck

Article Abstract:

The Camelot consortium that won the right to operate the UK lottery looks set to reap a small fortune from the contract. Unofficial estimates place its projected revenues from the lottery at around 1.6 billion pounds over a seven-year period. The Camelot consortium is composed of five shareholders: Cadbury Schweppes, De La Rue, ICL, Racal Network Services and G-Tech. Each of the shareholders bring to the project much-needed technical expertise for running the complex logistics of the UK Lottery. Cadbury-Schweppess, for example, brings in expertise in consumer marketing, while De La Rue provides its expertise in security printing. ICL, meanwhile contributes its computer systems technology while Racal provides its data communications technology. G-Tech, on the other hand, inputs the experience in has acquired from running computerized lottery systems in some 70 lotteries across the world.

It is a team consisting of the Soviet maritime navigation satellite Cospas and the Sarsat space system. The Cospas-Sarsat Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 1979.
