The eGenie is a fine example of a World Wide Web site that offers users a highly personalized interactive experience. Originally designed by Bowne Internet Solutions as a marketing tool, eGenie has evolved into a personalized arts and entertainment guide that keeps up with visitors' preferences over time without asking questions. The site uses artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to find out the entertainment preferences of a particular user. eGenie can also learn about the temporal habits of its visitors.
