Kid Care pushes the big guys into licensing

Article Abstract:

The Kid Care line of children's bath products has been cutting into the market share of major brands since 1981 by licensing characters popular with kids. Kid Care, now owned by Tsumura International, started with 'Strawberry Shortcake' bubble bath and shampoo, and now sells a wide range of toiletries shaped like Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and others. Only recently have giants like Johnson & Johnson and Mennen entered the licensed bath market. Kid Care CEO Howard Hirsch discusses his company's phenomenal growth.

New beginnings

Article Abstract:

The National Assn of Colleges and Employers developed a task force to determine how to serve members more effectively. The task force encouraged members to provide their inputs on this initiative. The outcome of this effort made the organization experience several 'new beginnings' which include coordination of strategic planning and professional development across regional and national organizations and the increased involvement of association leaders in venues such as the Board of Presidents.

Beloved, missing Kenyan general found. Or was he?

Article Abstract:

Joseph Karimi, a distinguishing Kenyan journalist brought Stanley Mathenge, Kenya's hero in its struggle for independence back to the country. The report resulted in Karimi's nomination for CNN's African Journalist of the Year Award, which was the most prestigious award in the continent, however he was disqualified due to uncertainties surrounding the authenticity of the Mathenge case.
