Principles for professional conduct

Article Abstract:

Members of the National Assn. of Colleges and Employees will be provided with a guideline for professional conduct in relation to their work in career planning, recruitment and placement activities. The rules prohibit solicitation of special treatment from the college or university and serving alcoholic drinks. Employment professionals will also be asked to keep student information confidential, provide complete information on their organization and ensure that selections will not discriminate against persons because of their sex, race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation and disability.

Organizational ethics development and the human resource professional

Article Abstract:

Ethical conduct as an integral part of organizational behavior and development is becoming a majorconcern of human resources (HR) professionals. The advantages for both the organization and the HR practitioner are obvious. However, the institution of such progressive participatory activities require an appropriate ethical climate. A competent state-of-the-art ethics training is thus urged.

The good of ethics - and how to get there

Article Abstract:

Ethics and ethical behavior have become majorconcerns of the career services profession. The underlying principles of ethicsand ethical conduct are dissected and applied to the career services and employment field. More focus on the why of things, instead on the how, is urgedto guide career service professionals. Several steps to maintain ethical standards and behavior are also presented.
