Correlation between catalyst surface structure and polypropylene tacticity in Ziegler-Natta polymerization system

Article Abstract:

The TiCl(sub x)/MgCl(sub 2) catalyst produced by codeposition by Mg+TiCl(sub 4), had 2 adsorption sites, producing a mixture of alactic and isotactic polypropylene. Whereas, the TiCl(sub y) catalyst, produced by electron-induced deposition of TiCl(sub 4), had only the non basal plane structure and it produced the isotactics polypropylene.

Computer simulations of charge transport in dye-sensitized nanocrystalline photovoltaic cells

Article Abstract:

Theoretical methods were used to demonstrate the charge transport in dye-sensitized nanocrystalline TiO2 electrodes. The simulation results have demonstrated that thermal release of the electrons trapped in shallow tail states to the conduction band contributes to effective diffusion in the nanocrystalline electrodes.
