A triethylenetetramine bearing anthracene and benzophenone as a fluorescent molecular logic gate with either-or switchable dual logic functions

Article Abstract:

Fluorescence behaviors of a triethylenetetramine bearing anthracene (AN) and benzophenone (BP) fragments at the respective ends, is studied in water, where effects of pH ([H.sup.+]) and metal cations on the emission properties is studied in detail. Results reveal that triethylenetetramine bearing AN and BP fragments acts as a fluorescent logic gate with either-or switchable dual logic functions, driven by [H.sup.+] and metal cations.

Photochemical properties of benzophenone adsorbed on Ti-Al binary oxides: the effects of the surface acidity

Article Abstract:

The major photoproducts from benzophenone (BP) adsorbed on the Ti---Al binary oxides were benzhydrol and benzpinacol where benzhydrol yield depended on Ti---Al ratio. The conclusions drawn were that more yield of benzhydrol was observed when BP protonated species were more predominant on the surfaces.

Experimental and computational studies on the molecular energetics of chlorobenzophenones

Article Abstract:

The molecular energetics of three monochlorinated benzophenones and a dichlorobenzophenone are studied using many experiments. The experimental results are in agreement with the results calculated using the B3LYP approach.
