Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy study of adsorption process and electronic structure of silver on ZnO(1010)

Article Abstract:

The adsorption process and valence band structure of Ag on ZnO(1010) is investigated by angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy utilizing synchrotron radiation. The coverage-dependent measurement of the Ag 4d band structure reveal that the AG bands with a dispersing feature are formed even at low coverage and theta the basic structure of the bands is essentially the same throughout the submonolayer region.

One-step synthesis of monodisperse silver nanoparticles beneath vitamin E Langmuir monolayers

Article Abstract:

The monodisperse silver nanoparticles were synthesized by one-step reduction of silver ions in the alkaline subphase beneath vitamin E (VE) Langmuir monolayers and their structure was investigated. The results suggested that excellent quality V[E.sub.q]/silver nanocomposite LB films might be formed on different substrates without significant variation in the nanoparticle density.

Green luminescence band in ZnO: Fine structures, electron-phonon coupling and temperature effect

Article Abstract:

The green emission band of ZnO is investigated by both experimental and theoretical means. Two sets of equally fine structures with the same periodicity are well resolved in the low-temperature broad green emission spectra.
