Animal rights trials loom

Article Abstract:

Animal rights activists arrested in high profile spring raids across the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Belgium face various cases, such as burglary and handling and blackmail. Animal rights extremism in the United Kingdom is projected to either decline or increase due to these cases. The activities of animal rights activists, and the charges that were filed against them, are discussed.

MonoPhos ligands: more than assymetric hydrogenation

Article Abstract:

Numerous ligands and catalyst systems are known for assymetric hydrogenation and C-C bond formation. Ligands from the MonoPhos family provides a system that can be modified due to its modularity, resulting in a large number of with high selectivity and assymetric induction. An overview of the uses of MonoPhos family ligands based on several researches is presented.

Transition metal catalysis: a process tool for complex molecules

Article Abstract:

Transition metal catalysis (TMC) has applications in small-scale reactions, and are highly reliable and cost-efficient. TMC can be used in large-scale reactions if specialized equipment, experience and know-how are used. The key reactions based on TMC, namely asymmetric hydrogenation, carbon-carbon coupling reactions and carbonylation, are discussed.
