Atomic hydrogen storage in carbon nanotubes promoted by metal catalysts

Article Abstract:

Atomic hydrogen storage by carbon nanotubes (CNTs) at atmospheric pressure is studied using Pd and La catalysts for dissociation of H2 into atomic hydrogen and formation of defects on CNT surfaces. The conclusion states that the difference in the activation energies is due to the energies required for the recrystalization of the defects sites into the graphic structure.

Effect of chemical treatment on electrical conductivity, infrared absorption and Raman spectra of single-walled carbon nanotubles

Article Abstract:

The magnitude and temperature dependence of electrical conductivity, the optical and infrared absorption, and the Raman spectra of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) bucky-paper after chemical treatment were investigated. Details of the correlations between the changes in these properties are determined.

Raman spectroscopy of free-standing individual semiconducting single-wall carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

The radial breathing modes and tangential modes are systematically measured on a large number of individual semiconducting single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) suspended between plots. A detailed Raman spectroscopy of suspended free standing SWCNTs is performed.
