Beta-nickel hydroxide nanosheets and their thermal decomposition to nickel oxide nanosheets

Article Abstract:

Powders of single-crystalline beta-nickel hydroxide (beta-Ni(OH)(sub 2)) nanosheets with the hexagonal structure are successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal method at 200 degree C using nickel acetate as the nickel source and aqueous ammonia as both an alkaline and completing reagent. This method is simple and low-cost for large-scale production of powders of single-crystalline beta-Ni(OH)(sub 2) nanosheets.

Ion exchange of NH4-ferrierite with Co2+: ESCA study

Article Abstract:

The applicability of XPS and XAES for the investigation of interaction of polyvalent metal cations with the skeleton of zeolites is demonstrated. The increase of normalized intensities of Auger A1 KLL spectra and alpha (A1) values is explicable, these intensities and alpha (A1) values increase with increasing Co sitting in the ferrierite.

Kinetic effects of alcohol addition on the anodic behavior of silicon in acid fluoride media

Article Abstract:

The anodic dissolution of silicon in acid solutions of ammonium fluoride was investigated in aqueous and water-alcohol media using a rotating disk voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy. The important differences and similarities shown by investigations in aqueous and water-alcohol media are provided.
