Binding of poly(amido amine) dendrimer on sodium poly-L-glutamate in aqueous NaCl solution

Article Abstract:

Static light scattering was used to investigate the binding of poly(amido amine) dendrimer on sodium poly-L-glutamate (NaPGA) in aqueous solutions of 0.01 and 0.1 M NaCl. It was observed that when a certain molar ratio of dendrimer to NaPGA, N(sub den)/N(sub PGA) was reached, the weight-average molecular weight and the radius of gyration increased sharply.

Dilute-solution properties of regenerated silk fibroin

Article Abstract:

Two dilute aqueous solutions of regenerated silk fibroin (RSF) of Bombyx mori silkworms are subjected to viscosity and light-scattering measurements. The aggregation behavior of RSF in both solutions is discussed by combining static light scattering and dynamic light scattering data.

Nonuniform Donnan equilibrium within bacteriophages packed with DNA

Article Abstract:

The curvature stress of DNA packed inside a phage is balanced against its electrostatic self-interaction. It is found that at a given position inside the bacteriophage, the coarse-grained DNA density is a nonlinear function of the DNA radius of curvature.
