Supramolecular structure of N,N-bis(2-hydroxybenzyl)alkylamine: Flexible molecular assembly framework for host without guest and host with guest

Article Abstract:

A study on two types of benzoxazine dimer derivatives (N,N-bis(2-hydroxy-t-methylbenzyl)cyclo-hexylamine, and N,N-bis(2-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylbenzyl)methylamine and on their copper-ion complexation is conducted. The derivatives exhibit themselves as host to accept copper-ion guests under the double-oxygen-bridged dimeric system.

Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics study of anharmonic systems: A Mannich based solution

Article Abstract:

A Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics study of 4,5-dimethyl-2-(N,N-dimethylaminomethyl)-phenol, a Mannich base, is used to investigate the vibrational properties in solution of its intramolecular hydrogen bond. The dynamic behavior of this hydrogen-bonded system will help in studying hydrogen bond dynamics in biological systems.

An alternative phase-transfer method of preparing alkylamine-stabilized platinum nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

Alkyl amine-stabilized Pt nanoparticles can be prepared by the phase-transfer method that has been developed. This can be of great use for further studies as the latter Pt nanoparticles could order into some intriguing patterns on the TEM copper grid.
