A spectroscopic study of diphenylmethy radicals and diphenylmethyl carbocations stabilized by zeolites

Article Abstract:

The spectroscopic properties of diphenylmethyl radicals adsorbed on LZ-105 are investigated. It is shown that photolysis of triphenylmethyl radicals leads to diphenylmethyl radicals and diphenylmethyl carbocation.

Characterization of starburst dendrimers and vesicle solutions and their interactions by CW- and pulsed-EPR, TEM, and dynamic light scattering

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the starburst dendrimers of various generations and level of protonations of their surface amino groups and solutions of dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine vesicles. Water solutions were obtained by doubly distilled water filtered through Millipore filters. Experimental results indicated that dendrimer-vesicle interactions changed the direction of the fast-rotation axis of the radicals. Findings also showed the formation of a complex between a single solvent molecule and the nitroxide radical.

Electron spin polarization by intramolecular triplet quenching of a nitroxyl radical labeled thioxanthonedioxide

Article Abstract:

An investigation is presented into the chemically induced dynamic electron polarization generated by interaction between a stable free radical and the triplet states of thiooxanthonedioxide derivatives using time-resolved electron spin resonance.
