China emerges in APIs

China has emerged as a strong supplier of pharmaceutical fine chemicals for active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) producers all over the world. The estimated 2006 sales of bulk drugs and APIs in China at the were around 10.2 billion euros. The growth and issues in the Chinese API sector, along with statistical data, are presented.
