Coherent electronic and nuclear dynamics for charge transfer in 1-ethyl-4-(carbomethoxy)pyridinium iodide
Article Abstract:
Amplitudes, polarizations, and phases of four-wave mixing signals were used to obtain unique dynamical information on relaxation processes following photoinduced charge transfer between iodide and in 1-ethyl-4- (carbomethoxy)pyridinium ions. Pump-probe measurements demonstrate the presence of an underdamped vibrational mode with a frequency of 115 [cm.sup.(-1)], which is coupled to the photoinduced transfer charge transfer transition.

Free energy and dynamics of electron-transfer reactions in a room temperature ionic liquid
Article Abstract:
Reaction free energetics and dynamics of unimolecular electron-transfer processes in ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate are investigated using a model diatomic solute. It is found that the overall characteristics of electron transfer free energetics are similar between two solvents.
