Collisions of DCl with pure and salty glycerol: Enhancement of interfacial D forward arrow H exchange by dissolved NaI
Article Abstract:
The fate of DCl molecules colliding with pure glycerol and a 2.6 M Nal-glycerol solution is examined using scattering, uptake and residence time measurements. The ion-glycerol interactions might be responsible for the reduction in DCl entry and enhancements in immediate DCl desorption and D forward arrow H exchange observed upon adding NaI.

Dissociation of hydrogen chloride and proton transfer in liquid glycerol: An ab initio molecular dynamics study
Article Abstract:
The dissociation and recombination of hydrochloric acid in bulk liquid glycerol under ambient conditions is studied with ab initio simulations. The dissociation events observed are consistent with the notion that HCl ionization can occur only if the HCl molecule is coordinated by at least three hydrogen bonds.

Textural and catalytic properties of combinatorial micro-mesoporous octatitanate fibers prepared by solvothermal soft chemical process
Article Abstract:
Protonic octatitanate fibers with novel combinatorial micro-mesoporous structures are prepared by using solvothermal soft chemical process in glycerine. Potassium titanate of K2Ti4O9, which has a fibrous morphology and microstructures organized with K2O-rich, melt on mesoscale, is used as a precursor.
