Comment on "A study of mechano-catalysis for overall water splitting"

Article Abstract:

A comment on the splitting of water to H2 and O2 at nominally ambient temperatures in experiments, in which metal oxides are mechanically ground against the bottom of a Pyrex reaction vessel, is presented. The conclusion states that the generation of H2and O2 in the experiments takes place through the thermal decomposition of water, which leads to the stoichiometric product ratio.

Visible-light-induced water-splitting in channels of carbon nanotubes

Article Abstract:

The visible-light-induced split in water confined in channels of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) was experimentally studied. The results revealed that a great amount of hydrogen-rich gas could be repeatedly produced under several rapid flashes of light, occasionally accompanying evident charge emission phenomena.

Solubility of methane in water: The significance of the methane-water interaction potential

Article Abstract:

An investigation is presented on the influence of the methane-water interaction potential on the value of the Henry constant obtained from molecular dynamics simulation. Results indicate a good agreement between simulations with the experiment achieved with new potential over the whole temperature range.
