Compositional gradients and electron flux in ion-blocked multivalent redox polymers and polymer bilayers: a theoretical consideration

Article Abstract:

Redox polymers that are both reducible and oxidizable can be made to be disproportionate when enough potential biases are applied across the polymer. A theoretical description of the steady-state redox gradients was developed in ion-blocked multivalent redox polymers under voltage bias. A similar process was also performed for the ion-blocked redox polymer biases. The bilayer systems studied were those in which the oxidation reaction is assumed to be sequestered entirely in one of the polymer layers and the reduction entirely in the other.

Green emission from end-group-enhanced aggregation in polydioctylfluorene

Article Abstract:

Green emission at around 507 nm in polydioctylfluorene originates from the uncapped-end-group enhanced aggregation by use of UV-vis absorption, photoexcitation spectra (PLE) and electroluminescent or photoluminescence spectra. The end-group-enhanced aggregation is much weaker in other polyfluorenes with less-ordered structures.

Low work function reduced metal complexes as cathodes in organic electroluminescent devices$

Article Abstract:

Several electrochemically active polypyridine-metal complexes are isolated in the formally zero-charged state through reductive electrocrystallization. They are thermally evaporated to form conducting thin films with low work functions.
