Dependence of electrochemical properties of vanadium oxide films on their nano- and microstructures

Article Abstract:

The electrochemical Li(super +) intercalation properties of platelet- and fibrillar-structured vanadium pentoxide (V(sub 2)O(sub 5)) films are studied. It is observed that the initial discharge capacities of platelet- and fibrillar-structured V(sub 2)O(sub 5) films are far larger than the initial discharge value of the plain structure film and they also exhibit relatively larger surface area.

Selenium-modified titanium dioxide photochemical diode/electrolyte junctions: Photocatalytic and electrochemical preparation, characterization, and model simulations

Article Abstract:

The photoelectrochemical behavior of TiO2 thin film electrodes, photocatalytically modified with Se islands is described. A simple equivalent circuit model is used to simulate both the transient photoresponse and the potentiodynamic photoelectrochemical behavior.

Enhancement of intercalation properties of V2O5 film by TiO2 addition

Article Abstract:

Systematic investigation of the preparation and intercalation properties of V2O5-TiO2 mixture films is highlighted. It is demonstrated that high Li(super +) intercalation rates and capacity in V2O5 films are achievable with TiO2 addition.
