Direct quantification of intraparticle protein diffusion in chromatographic media

Article Abstract:

Direct intraparticle diffusion analysis (IDA) is used to determine the intraparticle protein diffusion coefficients in chromatographic media. The study reveals that the IDA is a very useful approach to observe the diffusion in porous particles and can also be used for different proteins, solution conditions and stationary phases.

Thermokinetic approach of single particles and clusters involving anomalous diffusion under viscoelastic response

Article Abstract:

A thermokinetic description of anomalous diffusion of single particles and clusters in a viscoelastic medium is presented in terms of a non-Markovian diffusion equation involving memory functions. The scaling behavior of these functions is analyzed by considering hydrodynamics and cluster-size space random walk arguments.

The mesoscopic dynamics of thermodynamic systems

Article Abstract:

Developments that extend the applicability of thermodynamic concepts deep into mesoscopic and irreversible regimes are presented. The mesoscopic dynamics of thermodynamics approach provides a systematic method to obtain the stochastic dynamics of a system directly from its equilibrium properties.
