Dye-host interactions for local effects recognition in homogeneous and nanostructured media

Article Abstract:

Steady-state absorption and emission as well as time-resolved fluorescence spectra of NR (nile red) and ZnP (zinc tetraphenylpophyrin) are studied in a variety of solvents. The change dipole moments upon excitation is estimated to be deltamu + 6.1 D for NR and delatmu = 0.60 D for ZnP.

Pressure-dependent ZnO nanocrystal growth in a chemical vapor deposition process

Article Abstract:

Fabrication of ZnO nanorods, nanotubes, and nanowalls can be obtained by using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The variation in nanostructure shape with change in pressure is discussed in terms of surface-to-volume ratio.

Comparative study of time-resolved photoluminescence properties of terbium-doped thiosalicylic-capped CdS and ZnS nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

The properties of the adsorption and steady-state photoluminescence (PL) properties of the terbium-doped CdS and ZnS nanocrystals (NCs) are discussed. The terbium PL in ZnS NCs is stronger and presents a slower dynamics.
