Dynamics of n-hexane inside silicalite, as studied by (super 2)H NMR:

Article Abstract:

Perdeuterated n-hexane, adsorbed in silicalite, is found to exhibit a 2H NMR spectrum that represents a superposition of three Pake-powder patterns. Interpretation of the separate line shapes contributing to the total (super 2)H NMR spectrum of the adsorbed alkane and the temperature dependence of the spin-lattice relaxation time T1 is made in terms of different mobilities, exhibited by different CD(sub n) groups of the adsorbed alkane.

Probe molecule kinetic studies of adsorption on MCM-41

Article Abstract:

Experiments were conducted where gases and vapors of varying dimentions were used as probes to study the adsorption processes on MCM-41 and precipitated silica. The results show that there was marked difference in adsorption in mesoporous structure due to the alignment of molecules in the mesopores, leading to a pore blocking effect.

X-ray diffraction structure analysis of MCM-48 mesoporous silica

Article Abstract:

A study demonstrated the degree of precision and resolution of mesostructure analysis that can be achieved by applying the methods of continuous density function and derivative difference minimization. Analysis of density distribution revealed that the low-curvature segments of the pore wall were denser than the curved segments.
