JIT implementation: a case study

Article Abstract:

The decision of an Indian tractor firm to adopt just in time (JIT) inventory system proved to be beneficial in enhancing its market competitiveness. It was noted that implementation of JIT has brought significant improvement in several areas, such as the firm's transmission line and new hydraulic line. The implementation of JIT also played a vital role in enabling the firm's supplier program attain positive results.
