Effect of cations on infrared and computational analysis of vanadium-containing six-coordinate oxotungstates

Article Abstract:

Complex salts of VW5O(sub 19)(super 3-), cis-V2W4O19(super 4-), and W6O(sub 19)(super 2-) anions are investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and density functional theory computational methods. Theoretical investigations suggest that the anions alone may not show significant absorption in the region commonly assigned to the M-O(sub t) vibrations.

Complex thermal chemistry of vinyltrimethylsilane on Si(100)-2*1

Article Abstract:

The surface chemistry of vinyltrimethylsilane (VTMS) on Si(100)-2*1 is investigated using multiple internal reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Auger electron spectroscopy, and thermal desorption mass spectroscopy. Molecular adsorption of VTMS at submonolayer coverages is dominating at cryogenic temperatures.

Probing local environments in paramagnetic europium-substituted Keggin solids by [super 31]P magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

The paramagnetic environments in a series of Eu-substituted Keggin solids are probed by [super 31]P magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy. Results demonstrate that [super 31]P MAS NMR spectroscopy is a useful probe for investigating local environments in paramagnetic Keggin solids.
