Effect of chromium substitution on the lattice vibration of spinel lithium manganate: A new interpretation of the Raman spectrum of LiMn2O4.

Article Abstract:

By performing a combinative micro-Raman and X-ray absorption spectroscopic analysis, the variation of the lattice vibration of spinel lithium manganate upon chromium substitution is investigated. The two main Raman features of the cubic spinel lithium manganate are re-interpreted as totally symmetric A1g modes without and with tetragonal distortion.

Gold valence in (aUi3)(sub 0.25)Bi2SrCaCu2Oy by XPS and XANES spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

The clear experimental evidences on the presence of AuI3(super 2-) through Au L(sub 3-) and I L1-edge XANES spectroscopic studies is reported. The Au L(sub 3-)-edge XANES spectrum of (AuI3)(sub 0.25)Bi2Sr2CaCuOy shows that its adsorption edge energy is very close to that of AuI.

Trigonal planar (D(sub 3h)) AuI3 complex stabilized in a solid lattice

Article Abstract:

The preparation and the intracrystalline structure of a new AuI3-intercalated Bi2Sr2CaCu2O(sub y) are reported. It is demonstrated that the intercalated Au coordinates with three Is to form a trigonal planar molecular structure.
