Encapsulation mechanism of molecular nanocarriers based on unimolecular micelle forming dendrite core-shell structural polymer

Article Abstract:

Amphiphilic dendritic core-shell structural polymers with different shell densities were synthesized based on dendritic polyester and were shown to form unimolecular micelles in chloroform. Congo red as a guest molecule interacted with hydroxyl groups in the dendritic core-shell polymer which led to encapsulation and the encapsulation capacity was controlled by the number of hydroxyl groups in the polymer and by the compatibility of the polymer with chloroform.

Characterization of the initial stages of SBA-15 synthesis by in situ time-resolved small-angle X-ray scattering

Article Abstract:

The stages of SBA-15 synthesis are studied by using in situ time-resolved small-angle X-ray scattering with a synchrotron radiation source. Analysis of X-ray scattering and X-ray diffraction (XRD) intensities suggests that the diameters of the inner core of the cylindrical micelles and the 2D hexagonal structure do not vary much during the synthesis.

A new pyrene-based fluorescent probe for the determination of critical micelle concentrations

Article Abstract:

A new pyrene-based fluorescent probe for the determination of critical micelle concentrations (CMC) is described. The fluorescence spectroscopic properties of the compound are studied in homogenous organic solvents and aqueous micellar solutions.
