Enhanced dye-sensitized photoconversion efficiency via reversible production of UV-induced surface states in nanoporous TiO2

Article Abstract:

A brief UV illumination of dye-sensitized solar cells could result in a remarkable increase in their photoconversion efficiency. It reveals that a major effect of UV illumination was to reversibly create a high concentration of photoactive surface continuously distributed below the conduction bandedge in the nanoporous TiO2 films.

Particle size dependency of ternary diagrams at the nanometer scale: evidence of TiO2 clusters in Fe-based spinels

Article Abstract:

The bulk (Fe, Ti, O) phase diagram was strongly modified at the nanometer scale because of the prohibitive interface energy between the two phases normally present at the micrometer range. With absorption spectroscopy experiments, it was evidenced that the clusters consist of a compact stack of four TiO2 entities.

The measure of TiO2 photocatalytic efficiency and the comparison of different photocatalytic titania

Article Abstract:

The dependence of hydroxyl radical yield on substrate concentration was investigated. The TiO2 photocatalysis process is simple with a general oxidation mechanism made applicable to different TiO2 preparations.
