Evaluation of surface charge density and surface potential by electrophoretic mobility for solid lipid nanoparticles and human brain-microvascular endothelial cells

Article Abstract:

A practical method to obtain surface charge properties of cacao butter-based solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) and human brain-microvascular endothelial cells (HBMEC) is described. The observation shows that the decrease in the pH value weakens the electrostatic properties of the negatively charged SLN and HBMEC.

Finite-difference time-domain studies of the optical properties of nanoshell dimers

Article Abstract:

The optical properties of metallic nanoshell dimers are investigated by using the finite difference time domain finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The result reveals that retardation effects must be taken into account for an accurate description of realistic size nanoparticle dimers.

Improvement in SOFC anode performance by finely-structured Ni/YSZ cermet prepared via heterocoagulation

Article Abstract:

A novel preparation technique for a nanostructured anode for a solid oxide fuel cell is investigated. By mixing nanometer-sized NiO and YSZ powders in a pH-controlled aqueous media, a fine mixture of nanoparticles is successfully obtained through heterocoagulation.
