SBR, the speciality latex (dedicated to the paint, ink, adhesive, construction and other industries) range by Synthomer, will be distributed by Chimiray in France, as part of an exclusive distribution deal between the two companies which applies to Synthomer's Construction, Coating and Adhesives department. The SBR range is a complement to the binder and dispersion range for which Chimiray has been handling the distribution for years.

The French chemical company, Societe du Caoutchouc Butyle (SOCABU), has nominated Helene Wits to replace Jean-Paul Coquerel, Remi Desbouis, Jean-Pierre L'Hermitte and Gerard Polounovsky on its Board of Governors. SOCABU (38,420,500 capital), has also replaced Georges Grosliere with Jean-Luc Randaxhe, as its new president.

The French chemical group Rhodia Chimie, is preparing to bring its production and sales activity for its latex and derivated products for paint products and construction materials, to Belavoid, the French company based in Sausheim. To absorb these operations, Belavoid will increase its capital by FFr 217mn.
