Fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces by self-assembly and their water-adhesion properties

Article Abstract:

The self-assembled films of methyloctyldimethoxysilane (MODMS) and fluorooctylmethyldimethoxysilane (FODMS) were prepared on silicon surfaces and evaluated with AFM, water contact angle measurement and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Superhydrophobic surfaces were obtained by cooperation of MODMS and FODMS self-assembly with surface roughening.

Dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cell using a nanocomposite SiO(sub 2)/Poly(ethylene glycol) thin film as electrolyte support. Characterization by time-resolved luminescence and conductivity measurements

Article Abstract:

TiO(sub 2) mesoporous film and SiO(sub 2)/poly(ethylene glycol)-200(SiO(sub 2)/PEG-200)thin film are used to construct a dye-sensitized photochemical cell. The main focus of this study is the properties of a nanocomposite SiO(sub 2)/PEG-200 film charcterized by conductivity and time-resolved luminescence quenching techniques.

Molecular orientation of rhodamine dyes on surface of layered silicates

Article Abstract:

The objective of the study was to prepare oriented films of two representatives layered silicates, saponite (Sap) and fluorhectorite (FH), with embedded R days. It was founded that the adsorption of R dyes on the surface on the properties of both the dye and the silicate.
