Femtosecond spectroscopic investigation of the carrier lifetimes in digenite quantum dots and discrimination of the electron and hole dynamics via ultrafast interfacial electron transfer

Article Abstract:

Digenite quantum dots are synthesized by using a single source precursor type process and the optical transitions and dynamic properties of the photoinduced charge carriers in these novel nanomaterials characterized by femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopy. Results reveal that the larger quantum dots have longer excited-state lifetimes, which implies a strong surface-induced effect on the relaxation dynamics.

Experimental fingerprints of vibrational wave-packet motion during ultrafast heterogeneous electron transfer

Article Abstract:

The vibrational wave packets of low-energy modes are generated in the perylene chromophore by application of 20 fs laser pulses. Electron transfer from the excited singlet state of the perylene chromophore is measured in ultrahigh vacuum with a time constant of 75 fs.

Pump-probe spectroscopy of ultrafast electron injection from the excited state of an anchored chromophore to a semiconductor surface in UHV: a theoretical model

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning a qualitative theoretical model for excited state absorption decay are presented. It has been possible to undertake model calculations for the snapshot limit of the pump-probe signal.
