Formation of a regular fullerene nanochain lattice

Article Abstract:

[C.sub.60] nanostructures with long-range order and uniform size are prepared using a vicinal Au(11 12 12) surface, naturally patterned into a rectangular superlattice as a template. A two-dimensional long-range ordered superlattice of molecular nanochains is achieved at room temperature and at a coverage of 0.1 monolayer, which perfectly replicates the periodicity of the template surface.

Aspect ration dependence of the enhanced fluorescence intensity of gold nanorods: Experimental and simulation study

Article Abstract:

Experimental observations and theoretical treatments are carried out for the band shape and relative intensity of the emission from gold nanorods of various aspect ratios in the range between 2.25 and 6.0. The calculation of the fluorescence spectra requires knowledge of the nanorod size distribution, the enhancement factors, and the shape of the unenhanced fluorescence spectrum.

Controlling the length and shape of gold nanorods

Article Abstract:

A new approach to fabricate gold nanowires by controlling the volume of the growth solution is reported. Increasing the addition of the growth solution can control the length of nanorods.
