Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic study of the adsorption of CO and nitriles on Na-mordenite: Evidence of a new interaction

Article Abstract:

The low temperature adsorption of CO and the room temperature adsorption of acetonitrile, propionitrile, isobutyronitrile, pivalonitrile, benzonitrile, and o-toluonitrile on Na-mordenite (NaMOR) were investigated by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The main aim of the study was to have indications of the locations and accessibility of the adsorption sites of Na-mordenite.

Reduction of NO2 on ceria surfaces

Article Abstract:

The effect of NO2 adsorption on the atomic and electronic structure of the defective surfaces and the molecules of ceria is discussed. Analysis of the electron structure and spin density distributions demonstrates that one Ce(III) has been reoxidized to Ce(IV), with the formation of adsorbed NO(super -)

Study of the influence of several mordenite modifications on its N2 and O2 adsorption properties

Article Abstract:

The N2 and O2 adsorption properties of mordenite are studied. The introduction of fluorine results in a smaller shielding of these cations by the framework structure, that leads to an increase in the N2/O2 selectivity adsorption at lower pressures, despite the loss in the number of active sites.
