Tenkoz takes off

Article Abstract:

Agricultural chemical group buying organization Tenkoz has grown to 19 companies since it was established in 1983 and its purchasing volume has outlets risen from $200 million to $2 billion in 2000. The member companies carefully choose Tenkoz' product offerings, which are restricted to crop protection products. Tenkoz also does not offer value on lines that distributors need. For instance, Tenkoz shuns crop oils because their prices are very low such that no money would be made on them.
