Hydrothermal-induced assembly of colloidal silver spheres into various nanoparticles on the basis of HTAB-modified silver mirror reaction

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of various nanoparticles, the investigations on the reaction process, as well as the formation mechanism of the nanoparticles with the particular emphasis on the silver nanocubes are reported. The findings suggested that hydrothermal-induced assembly of small silver colloidal particles should be a convenient and effective approach to the preparation of various silver nanoparticles.

Theory of size dependent deliquescence of nanoparticles: relation to heterogeneous nucleation and comparison with experiments

Article Abstract:

A theory is developed for the deliquescence of soluble crystals, as a function of the degree of saturation of the solvent vapor. The deliquescence is a phenomenon in which there is a discontinuous transition state to a fully deliquested state at some critical level of vapor saturation.

Enhancement emission of Nile red fluorescent nanoparticles embedded in hybrid sol-gel glasses

Article Abstract:

The study reports on highly fluorescent Nile Red (NR) nanoparticles embedded in a hybrid sol-gel glass. The crystalline growth within the confirmed system created by the porous hybrid results in NR nanoparticles of averaged dimensions below 36nm.
