AUSTRIA: GALANTHAMIN PLANT FOR SANOCHEMIA

Article Abstract:

In Neufeld, Austria, the Sanochemia group has put into operation a new plant for the production of galanthamin, an active substance for the treatment of Alzheimer's sclerosis. Investments totalled Sch 130mn. The plant, which uses the patented Sanochemia process, was set up in cooperation with the US-Belgian Janssen Pharmaceuticals group.
