Image charges and dispersion forces in electric double layers: the dependence of wall-wall interactions on salt concentration and surface charge density

Article Abstract:

The calculation results of the interaction pressure between two planar charged walls for a range of surface charge densities, strengths of the anion-wall dispersion interaction and bulk electrolyte concentrations are presented. The image charge interactions are observed to show considerable depletion attraction between the walls for low surface charge densities.

PECT model analysis and predictions of experimental collisional energy transfer probabilities P(E',E) and moments {delta E} for azulene and biphenylene

Article Abstract:

Experimentally collisional energy transfer data from kinetically controlled selective ionization and ultraviolet absorption experiments are analyzed in the framework of the partially ergodic collision theory (PECT). Collisions of azulene and biphenylene with different colliders are investigated as case studies.
