Inclusion kinetics of a nucleotide into a cyclodextrin cavity by means of ultrasonic relaxation

Article Abstract:

A dynamic interaction between nucleotide and cyclic oligosaccharide is examined by using ultrasonic absorption measurements in aqueous solution containing [beta]-cyclodextrin ([beta]-CD) and adenosine 5-monophosphate (AMP). The results have shown that the adenine moiety is included in the [beta]-CD cavity and that the hydrogen bonds have played a role in the complex formation

Mechanism of direct conversion between C8 adducts and N7 adducts in carcinogenic reactions of arylnitrenium ions with purine nucleosides: a theoretical study

Article Abstract:

The mechanism of direct formation of C8 adducts for a series of carcinogenic reactions is validated by examining the direct conversion process between N7 adducts and C8 adducts in some theoretical models. The results have shown that C8 adducts are more stable in aqueous solution.

Design and application of lipophilic nucleosides as building blocks to obtain highly functional biological surfaces

Article Abstract:

Three different lipophilic nucleosides are synthesized and their membrane insertion and localization by solid-state NMR spectroscopy is investigated. The orientation of these molecules and the quantitative localization of their functional groups are measured.
