Insights into adsorption of uncharged macrocyclic complexes into an Nafion film: Adsorption characteristics and analysis of tetraphenylporohyrine zinc (II)

Article Abstract:

The characteristics of the adsorption of tetraphenylporphine zinc(II) (ZnTPP) into the Nafion (Nf) film are studied by using a visible absorption spectroscopic technique. The kinetic analysis of the ZnTPP uptake has indicated a preequilibrium of ZnTPP adsorption between the solution and the outer layer of the Nf film, followed by diffusion into the inner bulk region.

Temperature-controlled charge transfer mechanism in a polymer film incorporating a redox molecule as studied by potential-step chronocouloabsorptometry

Article Abstract:

Charge transport (CT) in a nafion film incorporating a redox molecule was investigated using potential-step chronocouloabsorptomers. It was reported that the predominant mechanism of CT in polymer film is controlled by temperature, depending on features of the redox molecule and its reaction.

Stabilizing ion pairs in poly(methyl methacrylate)

Article Abstract:

The decay of ions trapped in gamma-irradiated poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-containing ion scavengers was examined. The dependence of the decay of the ions on the concentration of pyrenyl groups indicated that the ions decay through a hopping transfer of the charge of pyrenyl groups.
