Interfacial charge-transfer absorption: Semiclassical treatment

Article Abstract:

Interfacial charge-transfer absorption (IFCTA) provides information concerning the barriers to charge transfer between molecules and the metal/semiconductor and the magnitude of the electronic coupling and could provide a powerful tool for understanding interfacial charge-transfer kinetics. It is concluded that the electronic coupling between molecular adsorbates and the metal levels is so small that the adsorption is not detectable, whereas for semiconductors there may be intense features involving coupling to surface states.

Microwave reflectance studies of photoelectrochemical kinetics at semiconductor electrodes. 1. Steady-state, transient, and periodic responses

Article Abstract:

Light- and voltage-induced changes in the microwave reflectivity of semiconductors could be used to study the kinetics mechanisms of electron transfer at semiconductor electrolyte interfaces. The time and frequency responses of light-induced microwave reflectivity changes are considered, and it is shown that they could be used to derive values of electron transfer and recombination constants.

Interfacial charge carrier dynamics of colloidal semiconductor nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

Dynamic properties of charge carriers, including trapping, recombination, and transfer, in a number of semiconductor nanoparticle systems are studied using powerful time-resolved laser techniques. The observations provide new insight into the interfacial charge carrier properties in colloidal semiconductor nanoparticles.
