Interfacial rheology of globular and flexible proteins at the hexadecane/water interface: comparison of shear and dilatation deformation

Article Abstract:

The constitutive behavior of lysozyme and beta-casein adsorbed at the oil/water interface in both shear and dilatational deformation is viscorlastic with interfacial moduli that change with aging. The utility of interfacial rheology in probing the structure of adsorbed macromolecules and the kinetics of interfacial structure change is discussed.

Properties of hydrogels derived from cationic analogues of bile acid: Remarkably distinct flowing characteristics

Article Abstract:

A new class of cationic bile acid derivatives was synthesized to gel water and aqueous electrolyte solutions. Investigations on these hydrogels are carried out at different length scales by a combination of physical techniques.

Organic solutions of monomolecular organometallic threads: nonlinear rheology and effects of end-capping species

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the solutions of bimetallic tetracarboxylates (M2R4) in polar hydrocarbons. The result shows that using specific end cappers can control the viscoelasticity.
