Light energy conversion using mixed molecular nanoclusters. Porphyrin and C60 cluster films for efficient photocurrent generation

Article Abstract:

A new approach of preparing composite clusters of porphyrin and fullerene in acetonitrile/toluene mixed solvents and assembling them on a nanostructured SnO2 electrode, using an electrophoretic deposition technique, is reported. The composite clusters of porphyrin and fullerene absorb light over the entire spectrum of visible light.

Electrostatic assemblies of fullerene-porphyrin hybrids: toward long-lived charge separation

Article Abstract:

The Coulomb complex formation of a dendrite fullerene oligocarboxylate (1 to the power -8) and an octapyridinium zinc porphyrin salt (ZnP to the power 8+) is studied. The molecular dynamic simulations provide an understanding of the supramolecular structure of the fullerene-porphyrin hybrid, ZnP to the power 8+/1to the power 8-.

Enhanced aggregation behavior of antimony(V) porphyrins in polyfluorinated surfactant/clay hybrid microenvironment

Article Abstract:

The photophysics and potential photochemistry of polyfluorinated microcavities is highlighted. The application of cation-exchangeable type clays in the intercalation of metalloporphyrin molecules is explained.
