Linear dependence of the potential of 'wired' glucose oxidase electrodes on the concentration of glucose

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to show that the output potential of a glucose monitoring system scales with the glucose concentration during the use of a special system and a special electrode. Gold electrodes supporting a 250 micron diameter were recessed at 90 micron depth in a polyrimide sleeve. Printed carbon electrodes on Mylar were then prepared using a sensing layer similar with the miniature gold electrodes. In addition, potentials were determined versus ground.

Configurational statistics of macromolecules in solution from correlations of liquid molecules

Article Abstract:

The study of configurational statistics of a single, real macromolecule is done by applying a covariant Vineyard-like approximation, for the van Hove's function of liquid and chain molecules forming a dilute polymer solution. It is found that the probability distribution function of a real polymer can be expressed from a static Ornstein- Uhlenbeck process and the method is suitable for the configuration analysis of single macromolecules.

A laccase-wiring redox hydrogel for efficient catalysis of O2 electroreduction

Article Abstract:

The design, synthesis optimization of the composition, and characterization of the laccase-wiring redox hydrogel is described. The redox polymer efficiently connects the laccase reaction centers to electrodes and the reduced redox centers deliver electrons to laccase so rapidly and at such a small potential gradient that the electroreduction of O2 to water is much better catalyzed than by platinum.
