Membrane-forming properties of gemini lipids possessing aromatic backbone between the hydrocarbon chains and the cationic headgroup

Article Abstract:

Membrane-forming properties of new gemini cationic lipids possessing an aromatic backbone between the headgroup and hydrocarbon chains are described. Ultraviolet (UV)-visible (vis) absorption studies have indicated the presence of H-type of aggregates in gemini lipid aggregates.

Coarse grained model for semiquantitative lipid simulations

Article Abstract:

The parameterization of a new coarse grained (CG) model for lipid and surfactant systems is presented. The results show the form of simulation should be used as much as possible to judge the quality of the CG force field in the application at hand.
