Ge-ZSM-5: the simultaneous incorporation of Ge and AI into ZSM-5 using a parallel synthesis approach

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of a series of Ge-ZSM-5 zeolites is described by using parallel synthesis approach to find the best synthetic method for the simultaneous incorporation of Al and Ge into the MFI framework. Results showed that this method is useful to screen multiple reaction parameters such as the nature and the ratios of the synthesis gel components in a short period of time.

Metal carbonyl cluster synthesis in nanocages: Spectroscopic evidence of intermediates in the formation of Ir4(CO)12 in zeolite NaY

Article Abstract:

The assembly of Ir4(Co)12 from Ir(CO)2(acac) precursors in the supercages of the zeolite NaY is investigated by extended X-ray absorption fine structures (EXAFS) and in-situ infrared (IR) spectroscopies. The results revealed that conditions of pretreatment of the zeolite significantly affect the chemistry of the intercage cluster assembly of Ir4(Co)12 in zeolites nanopores.

Synthesis, characterization, and growth rates of germanium silicalite-1 grown from clear solutions

Article Abstract:

The effect of germanium content and source on the growth of silicalite-1 from optically transparent precursor solution at 368 K is demonstrated using in situ single-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) technique. All the synthesized silicalite-1 materials reveal Ge incorporation between 30%and 50%, which is likely a result of the high pH of the synthesis used.
