Mixed iron-manganese oxide nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

A detailed systematic study of mixed iron-manganese oxide nanoparticles is presented. The study shows that ultrasonication provides the high-energy reaction conditions required for complete atomic level mixing of Fe(III) and Mn(III) when amorphous Fe2O3 nanoparticles are irradiated in the presence of Mn2(CO)(sub 10) in ambient atmosphere.

Mixed self-assembled multilayer of 4,4'-dimercaptobiphenyl and 1,8-octanedithiol

Article Abstract:

Mixed multilayers of aromatics (biphenyl) and aliphatic (octane) dithiols were used to investigate defects an YiO2 (110) on decomposition of DCOOD. Formyl intermediates are formed due to isotopic exchange in products.

Isotope effect in adhesion

Article Abstract:

The fist observation of an isotope effect in adhesion is reported. A significant increase in adhesion hysterisis was observed when the OH groups at the -Si-OH and -P(O)(OH)2 surfaces were replaced by OD groups.
