Molecular conformation and melting behavior of alkyl/oligo(oxyethylene)/alkyl triblock position isomers: Effect of the position of an oligo(oxyethylene) block

Article Abstract:

The effect of the position of an oligo(oxyethylene) block in the H[(C[H.sub.2]).sub.lambda] [(OC[H.sub.2]C[H.sub.2]).sub.4]O[(C[H.sub.2]).sub.12-k]H (k = 6-11) molecule on the conformation and melting behavior is studied. The results of the stabilities of molecular forms are described by the relative stabilities of partial crystal lattices formed by the alkyl and oligo(oxyethylene) blocks.
