Molecular hydrogels from bile acid analogues with neutral side chains: Network architectures and viscoelastic properties: Junction zones, spherulites, and crystallites: Phenomenological aspects of the gel metastability

Article Abstract:

Structural and rheological properties of hydrogels made up of neutral bile acid derivatives are studied. Complementary scattering, diffraction, and microscopy techniques provide a precise structural description of the network architecture and its variation as a function of concentration, aging time, composition of the solvent, and the type of gelator.

Hybrid materials covalently incorporated with isophorone-based dyes through sol-gel process for nonlinear optical applications

Article Abstract:

The syntheses and characterization of two new push-pull type second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) active isophorone-based alkoxysilane dyes with the same acceptor is reported. Normalized UV-vis spectra demonstrate that the introduction of a diaryl group would help to prevent unfavorable organization of the chromophores.

Dynamics of bound dyes in a nonpolymeric aqueous gel derived from a tripodal bile salt

Article Abstract:

The first study of the properties of fluorescent dyes bound in the gel network of nonpolymeric aqueous gel is reported. It is found that dyes get caught up in the gel network in comparison to the micellar aggregates.
