Homogenous line widths, characterized by the phase memory time Tm, of a nitroxide spin-labeled peptide, were measured over the entire optional range (~10 (super -10)-10(super -4) s at the spectrometer resonance frequency of 9.7 GHZ using spin-echo correlated spectroscopy (SECSY) ESR.

The structural and dynamic properties of the peptide with the sequence CAGQW are extensively investigated using simulations. Several simulations for a total simulation time of more than 1.5 microseconds were performed using the GROMOS96 and OPLS-AA/L force fields.
