Nonuniform reaction rates during CO and CO/H2 oxidation on couple Pt electrodes

Article Abstract:

An investigation of the electro-catalytic oxidation of CO and CO/H2 mixtures on polycrystalline Pt is presented on two electrodes with controllable degrees of coupling strength by means of experiments and numerical simulations. The study concluded that large differences in the currents on Pt electrodes occur during CO electro-oxidation as the coupling strength between two electrodes is increased.

Photocatalytic reactivity of surface platinized TiO2: Substrate specificity and the effect of Pt oxidation state

Article Abstract:

The platinization effects in the TiO2-mediated photocatalytic degradation (PCD) of several chlorinatedd organic compounds were investigated. The effect of Pt speciation on TiO2 on the photocatalytic degradation (PCD) of a few chlorinated organic compounds were investigated with several Pt/TiO2 samples that were prepared differently.

Electrocatalysis under conditions of high mass transport rate: oxygen reduction on single submicrometer-sized Pt particles supported on carbon

Article Abstract:

The impact of the mass transport rate of reactant and product types during the oxygen reduction reaction (orr) on platinum in an acidic electrolyte is studied. The intricacies involved in the orr dynamics are discussed according to the results acquired on the small sole-particle electrodes.
